Route Notes BC 16/05 5300m by heli (acclimatized from Makalu) C1 -- -- C2 18/05 6400m C3 20/05 7100m C4 21/05 7800m Smt 22/05 by Gordon, Pemba Ongdi at 7 am, Castillo at 7:30 am. Castillo left C4 at 12:30 am, Gordon and Pemba Ongdi left at 2:30 am. It was a clear and windless. Good conditions. Couloir snowy. The spent about 10 minutes on the summit as the winds were picking up. They descended to C4, packed up and continued to C2, where Gordon and Pemba arrived at 1 pm and Castillo about 4 pm. On 23 May everyone back to BC and left that day by heli. Oxygen: Used from below C3 to high point to C2 by Gordon and Pemba Ongdi Castillo Lofthouse did not use oxygen. Sherpa: Pemba Ongdi, Yaphu, Makalu, 29/11/1987 Charles Mace was an Adventure Consultants client on the Himalayan Guides permit. Wendy Gustin was an Adventure Consultants client on the Himalayan Guides permit. Robert Owen was a client of Kenton Cool. Roy Wells was a client of Mike Roberts (Adventure COnsultants).
