Route Notes Himalayan Experience had three teams on the immediate Everest area: to Everest, to Lhotse and to Nuptse. Russell Brice was the overall leader/organizer/supervisor, while Suzanne Huesser was the leader on the mountain. The three team's Sherpas totalled 20; 13 of these men summited Everest, three of the Everest summiters also summited Lhotse and three others also summited Nuptse. The Lhotse expedition had eight members, but only half of them went to the top. The non-summiting members were: Ms. Martine Marsigny, who had been on the Nuptse team also, but from left BC on 7 May to go home because she didn't want to go through the Icefall any more. Francois Marsigny summited Nuptse on 16 May instead of attempting Nuptse. Spruzs summited Everest 17 May, was too tired to try for another summit, so descended to C2 without attempting Lhotse. Tait summited Everest on 10 May and decided not to try for Lhotse also. Those who did go for top arrived there on 17 May. They were Ishikawa with Fura Chheten at 10:14 am, Huesser with Lhakpa Nuru at 11:23 am, Bergsma with Tashi Chhiring at 11:33 am, and Shimada with Gyalzen Dorje two minutes later. Three of these Sherpas, Fura Chheten, Rita Dorje and Sonam Finjo, went on to gain the summit of Everest a week later after having descended to BC in the interim. Members used oxygen from C3 to the summit and back to C3. Their Sherpas used it from C4 to the top to C4. Sherpas: Fura Chheten, 29/8/90, Phortse Gyalgen Dorje, 17/2/88, Phortse Lhakpa Nuru, 18/6/80, Phortse Tashi Chhiring, 8/5/90, Khumjung
