Route Notes Summit on 25 May by Lichota and Tarke at 7 am. Summit team left C4 at 11 pm on 24 May. They were few other people on the route. Lichota was hit by an ice block on the left shoulder and bruised it in the couloirs on her way up. She carried on and reached the summit at 7 am. They spent about 10 minutes on the summit and descended to C4, where they rested for a few hours and carried on to C2. They were intending to reach C2, however, Lichota got confused and descended the old route on the Lhotse face using the old rope. When she reached a point where the fixed ropes were buried in the ice and snow, she noticed that she was on the wrong route. She radioed down to BC and told Woolums, who then contacted Tarke. Tarke had gone down the correct route and had already come farther down. He ascended again to help Lichota and both of them went back to C3, where they spent the night. On 26 May they descended to C2 and 27 May to BC. Oxygen: Taken and used from C3 to top to C3 by Lichota From C4 to top to C4 by Tarke Sherpas: Tarke, Rakshi Kharka, Lokhim, Solukhumbu (1967)
