Route Notes Summit on 19 May by Jones at 10 am. As they had not set up a C4 on Lhotse, Jones climbed to the South Col on 18 May. On summit day, left South Col at 5:30 am. He met Damian Benegas, who had come from C3, at the spur at 6 am. They fixed some rope on the mountain from about 8300m. Rockfall in the couloirs was still pretty bad which was mostly due to the climbers above. They had good views from the summit. They descended to C2 where they arrived at 6 pm. Benegas carried on to BC at 8:30 pm. The next day Jones descended to BC and left BC on 22 May. Oxygen: Taken and used from C3 to top C2 by Jones. Samuel Elias and Emily Harrington were Sherpa Shangri-La clients. Melissa Arnot was a Senge Treks client on the Sherpa Shangri-La permit. David Hamilton was a Summit Nepal client on the Sherpa Shangri-La permit.
