Route Notes Summit on 25 May by Baranowska at 10 am. First summit attempt on 19 May. Michalski and Baranowska left C4 at 6 am. They climbed until 2 pm to about 8200m and decided to turn back as it was too late in the day and Baranowska did not want to reach the summit after dark. They were too slow. They descended to C3, where they arrived at 6 pm. On 20 May they descended to BC. Michalski decided to leave on 22 May as he thought that he would not have enough time to rest and gain enough strength for a second summit attempt. Baranowska stayed at BC until 23 May and ascended directly from BC to C3. It took her 10-1/2 hours. On 24 May she moved to C4. On 25 May Baranowska left C4 at 1:30 am with a few other people. She had to walk past the dead Czech climber, who had died a few days previously. She stayed about 20 minutes on the summit. She waited for Ryan Waters and Cecilie Skog to reach the summit to take her summit photo. She descended top C4, where she arrived at 1:30 pm. On 26 May she descended to BC and left BC on 28 May by helicopter. Oxygen: not taken, not used.
