Route Notes DCXP Lhotse Expedition led by Paul Rogers - 2 June 2008 The summit party of Haskins, Moriarty, Sonam Bhote, Ang Kami, Pasang Nuru and another Pasang left C4 for the top at 3:00 am on 25 May, and all reached the summit together at about noon. They returned to C4 briefly, then Rogers and they descended to C3 at 6:00 to 7:00 pm; Sonam Bhote continued down to C2 that night. The others reached C2 on the 26th and everyone was in BC on the 27th. The members used oxygen sleeping in C3 on 23 May and in and above C4 and back to C3. The Sherpas used it from C4 to summit to C4. Non-summiting members: Rogers went to C4 on the 24th but did not join the summit party on the 25th. There were not enough oxygen bottles for another person in the party because of "some theft, some miscalculation," and he didn't mind not going to the top. Barisas and Watroba went to C2 on 13 May, then left the team on the 16th. Barisas was unhappy going through the Icefall and did not intend to make a second trip through it and back. Watroba was not strong enough nor technically competent to climb Everest any more. Sherpas: Ang Kami, 21/8/82 (5/5/2039), Gudel-5, Everest X2 Pasang Nuru, 17/3/73 (4/12/2029), Kharikhola, Lhotse X1, Cho Oyu X2, Everest X1 Pasang Sherpa, 23/4/82 (10/1/2038), Ramechap, Gudel-9, no 8000ers Sonam Bhote, 3/12/81, Lelep, Taplejung, Everest X1
