Route Notes BC at Everest BC site C2 in Western Cwm C3 on Lhotse Face. 19th too tired to climb so down to rest to Deboche. 23rd back in BC. 26th May all 3 members tried to go to top: got to 8400m at 5:00 pm very near top of couloir but now too late to continue up and weather "beautiful." 20 minutes in descent, Kaltenbrunner headlamp died. Down to C3 to sleep and BC 27th May and climb finished because too tired and Khumbu Icefall route being closed.
