Route Notes C2 in Western Cwm C4 on Lhotse West Face. 11 May 1st summit bid from C4 and up 300m (2-3 hours), but too windy, cloudy, snowing and returned to C4. 12th wanted to try again but very strong wind and down to C2. 13th in C2, 14th C2 to C4. 15th 2nd try for top but lightning, thunder, windy, cloudy and some snowfalling; got to 7700m and then down after 2 hours ascent back to C4. 16th morning sky clear and left C4 for top: Um, Jimba Zangbu and Ra up for top. Strong wind now but climbing to top at 9:15 Um and Jimba; 10:15 Ra on top. Climbed out of couloir to left summit, the highest one (Jimba 3 minutes after Um). Um and Jimba stayed on top taking photos and pictures in all directions from top. Jimba arrived at C4 1:00 pm and Um and Ra at 2:15 pm. All returned to C2; Um and Ra arrived C2 5:30 pm.
