| Route Notes | C1 at biv only at night C3 on West Face (only Dimitri) High point at C3. Slept in C2 only one night and did not leave camp there. Put C3 lower than most expeditions. Georgian-Russian put theirs low and this small team enjoyed their company. Did not make a C4 and this a problem. C3 later destroyed by icefall (biv place) and found it gone including oxygen which destroyed tent and C4 equipement. Went to C3 21 May and found it gone including oxygen which was essential for higher altitude. Weather bad now with strong winds on top and snowing. |
