Route Notes From Sophie Lavaud: After my victorious climb to Ama Dablam in Khumbu region, with my small team (Mingma Sherpa and Dawa Sangay Sherpa), I undertook the rise of a virgin summit (never climbed until now) deep down Langtang Valley: Kyangka Ri 2 (6506m). Today, December 11, at 10:40 am (local time), we reached the top of this mountain after a difficult, but very interesting climb. We've been shook well at the top, crazy wind! We are now back at Camp 1, well tired but happy, with Mingma Sherpa and Tenjing Sherpa and Dawa Sangay Sherpa. The previous days: The day before yesterday, December 9, we were at Camp 1 at 5309m, after a big day of walking in the ice moraine. Yesterday Thursday, December 10th, we climbed our little Camp 2 to 5630m high in the middle of the glacier. It was blowing pretty hard in gusts, but it was bearable.
