Route Notes Trekked to Kalapattar first, then to Pangboche BC site, went into valley south of Ama Dablam, up glacial moraine to 5200m on 10th (having pitched tent in valley below Ama Dablam on 9th at 4600m). Both felt very ill with bad chest infections so returned to Pangboche some day and abandoned climb. Intended route was Kangtega's NE Ridge to climb 2 peaks along that ridge (not Kangtega's main summit): they are 6170m and 6077m highs according to Schneider's Shorong map, via Kangtega's NE Face.
