Route Notes Left KTM 18th Sept by road to Tansen. Trekked via Dhorpatan, Tarakot, Tarap Khola, Tarapgaon, Kagmara La and Jagdula Khola and back to Hurikot and Jumla. Could not reach BC area because Jagdula Khola's steep slopes and rock cliffs difficult for porters. Good path on west side of Jagdula Khola to point roughly opposite point 15,750 ft on trekking map, Jomsom to Jumla and Surkhet. Fixed ropes along khola cliff for porters and made a camp after this section but then 10 porters left in snowstorm that lasted 3 days and other porters also wanted to go back. So decided best to give up: way very difficult for porters but OK for Sherpas, but need more Sherpas and more time. Perhaps a boat to cross river. 4 or 5 on return climbed Dudh Kundari via E Ridge to sharp S crest. Put a high camp between BC and summit - 1300m to sharp high camp at 4700m to summit by 4 members on 17th Oct (BC near Jagdula Khola).
