Route Notes BC east of Meta in rock valley C1 on West Face under seracs High point at SW Ridge. 30 Oct up to pitch C2 at 6100m but at 100m below it, big avalanche hit all climbers and carried them down 100m. This put end to climb. Contraine buried by avalanche and only gloved hand could be seen; she was dug out quickly and not hurt. Not wise to continue with snow and wind and danger of future avalanching.
