No second summit bid because of snowfall. All in BC 6 Nov. Fixed 600m rope between C2 and top on steep face below ridge. Nepali summiters: Tham Bahadur Magar, 38 years, Bagar village, Myagdi Dist Ama Dablam summit Aut 1990 and Aut 1995; Everest South Col US (Porzak), Spr 1990 expedition Pemba Sherpa, Makalu VDC, 30 years, no 8000ers Expedition arrived KTM 18 Oct, left on expedition 20 Oct; returned 19 Nov, left Nepal 21 Nov (Tibet Guest House). Email to Miss Hawley: Those who reached the top are Bruno Grossetete who reached the top with Tham Bahadur (Tilija) and Roger Laot with Pemba Sherpa. The Kang Guru is a very nice mountain, not too difficult but very interesting with a nice ridge. We were sad to not reach the top (one friend with us was very tired and moreover the weather was bad: snow and fog) but everybody went down without problem: it is the more important. Our Nepalese team really was very good, strong and kind. Their help had been very valuable.
Accidents Laot very slightly frostbitten finger
