Route Notes BC south of col between two peaks ABC 100m south of bottom of icefall south of col. Tried 2 May to go from BC to west summit that day. Cho and Fioretti left BC at 3:00 am, reached ABC at 3:45 am. Then up between rock buttress on west and icefall on east; rock on buttress was very unstable and broke off in Cho's hand. They went up to 18,200 ft (5550m), but no good place for anchors for safe ascent and turned back and abandoned climb. Both want to return to mountains and climb icefall which not moving at all, no debris, no big crevasse, but should fix ropes on 600-800 ft. Back to BC at 8:30 am. Harris never reached BC; he was sick. Note: Kangcho directly south of Gyachung Kang and Nup La and has 2 summits: west summit is 6043m high and east summit is 6063m high.
