Route Notes Peak on Nepal-Tibet border and is 6859m high. Last 400m of NE to East Ridge to top is very steep, otherwise route is very easy but exposed to dangerous avalanching. On 14 or 15 Sept [Sept 3 according to Japanese Alpine News] in summit attack 2 members were hit by avalanche and 1 member's leg broken by it. Team from Doshisha University Alpine Society. Same club sent reconnaissance team to mountain in autumn 1997 and they reached 5605m on glaciers. 1998 team left KTM 7 Aug and did not return to KTM after climb.
