Route Notes BC 04/04 5500m C1 -- 6240m C2 09/04 6350m C3 20/04 6836m C4 06/05 7325m Smt 07/05 by 7 members and 6 Sherpas (see below). Team left BC for the first summit attempt on 23/04 to head for the summit on 26/04. On this attempt, they reached 8400m (Khan without oxygen) on 26/04. There was a lot of snow on the route and the weather was bad, so the team had delayed their summit push. The team led by Mingma G lost the way twice, but when they found the way it was already too late. They turned back at about 3 pm and descended to C4. On 27/04 he was back at BC. For the summit push, the team left BC on 05/05 and ascended directly to C3. They took about 8 hrs to get there. On 06/05 they reached C4 in the afternoon and started their summit push at 9 pm. Khan had intended to summit without supplemental O2, but put it on shortly after C4. The route was already fixed from the previous attempt and the summit successes by Pioneer Adventure and SST on 05/05. Straightforward climb. Khan stayed on the summit for about 15 minutes and descended to BC, where they arrived at 8 pm. Left BC on 08/05 to Tseram. Members who did not summit: Keval Kakka reached 8400m during the first push, but he had lost a toenail during the Dhaulagiri expedition which then got frostbitten during the first summit push. Sashko Kedev reached 8400m during the first push and he did not have time to join the second summit. Oxygen: Taken and used from C4 to top to C4 by Khan Taken and used from C2 to top by others Kanchenjunga Summit: On 7th May 2022, between 4:07 am to 7:23 am, entire team of Imagine Nepal Kanchenjunga Expedition team made it to summit of Mt Kanchenjunga 8586m. 1. We flew to KTM (me & 1 other because of frostbite), the others to rest. We returned to KBC on 03/05. [On the summit push] the ropes at the top were very ragged and did not appear to be new this year. There was an Indian man who died the day before us whose body was close to 8000m; there was also an older dead body near the summit.
