Route Notes Ghosh and Pasang left C4 at 6:45 pm on 17 May for the summit. They reached the summit at 10:05 am of 18 May. They stayed on summit for an hour and 10 minutes. Ghosh performed his puja on the summit, had photos and video while waiting for other three Indian climbers, Tusi Das, Rajiv Bhattacharya and Chhanda Gayen, to come up. By 11 am all three were on the top. Ghosh and Pasang returned to C4 at 7:30 pm. Next day 19 May they went down to BC. Ghosh went back to Kolkata the same way as he came to BC. He entered Nepal/Birtamod on 1 April. Ghosh said that Gayen while descending from Yalung Kang summit she fell down, not less than 1000m, along with two Sherpas who were short-roped with her. Tashi survived who was not roped. Ghosh was sent from Kolkata by the government authority to Kathmandu to launch search operation and to recover bodies of missing Indian climber and the Sherpas. But the day I met him the search team was not sure of going to the mountain for the job due to weather conditions, particularly snow fall. Sherpa: Pasang, 27/4/78 (2035/1/14), Lelep-8, Taplejung, Everest X1, Kangch X3, Cho Oyu X1
