Route Notes Email from Lee Ching-Ching (wife of Lee Hsiao-Shih) - 13 Nov 2012 My Sherpa said I arrived at 8200 meters. My watch did not work, so based on Sherpa's only. It was seven in the morning when I arrived at 8200 meters. There was no rope to ensure safety. We can not continue to move if no ensure rope. I do not know why this error happens. Peak XV's charge, Prem hired four Sherpa for Kanchenjunga expedition. They are Mr. Sonam, Mr. Ngada, Mr. Pasang and Mr. Pemba. And he said Pasang summitted three times, Ngada summitted twice. Before departure, Pasang told Sonam to prepare 600m rope, but Sonam carried 800m. The facts proved that it needed 1200m. KBC is 5500m. I arrived April 14. 1 camp is 5900m, 2 camp 6200m, 3 camp 7200m, 4 camp 7600m. I left KBC on May 16 and arrived 1 camp at 2 pm. Take a rest. We went to 2 camp. May 17 I depart from 2 camp and used oxygen at 7000m. May 18 7 pm we left 4 camp and May 19 7 am arrived 8200m. We argued a few time. I still want to go without ensure rope. Sonam would not let me off the team. We came back. I arrived 4 camp at 10 am and continued to go to 3 camp. I arrived 3 camp on 19 May evening then rest. May 20 we arrived KBC.
