| Route Notes | BC at Pangpema C1 at usual campsite C2 at usual campsite C3 at usual campsite. Ortner left C3 on 16th at 05:30 hours, reached 8500m at 15:30, then returned to C3 at 19:00 hours. He found a Korean body (he thinks) between 8150-8200m may be of 1998-99 expedition. Leitner up to 7000m near C3 in May. Gratz up to 7400m on 18th. Hanser up to 8400m on 16th. Jud up to 8200m on 18th. Winkler up to 6600m. The expedition team returned to KTM on 28th and leaves on 29th. The expedition paid $30 each to Maoist. The demand was $100 each but sirdar and Pasang Tamang managed to bargain for $30 each.
