Route Notes Flew to Taplejung 3 April and trekked towards BC up Srojan Khola to Tseram. Arrived at Tseram on 9 April, having felt badly: very sore throat, difficult breathing from 7 April. Ill for 2 weeks total. Stayed until late 10th when decided needed helicopter evacuation and called a trekking agent friend to send helicopter. 11th April flew to KTM and climb called off. Too weak to walk out and had no Sherpas or cook boy with him. This his 27th attempt on 8000er.
