Route Notes Solo attempt on NW Face by Porta. 25 April returned to BC. 26 April Porta went up alone intending to make push to summit. 26 April went to 6000m and in C1. That night not well, probably cerebral edema. 27 April Nga Temba went to C1 carrying supplies and found him very sick and brought him to BC on 28 April with C1 equipment. Porta's lack of acclimatization [caused his illness].
