| Route Notes | Beyond Jongsang La: 1-1/2 km sharp ridge and then 2-3 km plateau to top. This beyond resources of our small light expedition. All back in BC by 28 April (and most went to Ghunsa and Lapsang La where too much snow). Plan had been to go up East Face and down SE Ridge but needed prepare SE Ridge route first and this not possible. South Face only 50-60% and quite possible to go up, but not down. Other summit not attempted; had good view of Yalung Kang North Face, which wanted to climb 1985, but Skarja thinks seracs and hanging glaciers too dangerous. |
