| Route Notes | On 30/10 6050m reached by both members, David Morton and Thomas Gilbert. Morton listed a Sherpa as a member, but he did not attempt to climb with them, but went to ABC. They intended to climb what is essentially the SSW ridge-line, gaining the ridge via a direct 60-70 degree slope from where they placed ABC. Weather was very windy on the ridge-line once gained, prompting them to now spend the night on the ridge at 6050m. However the primary issue was the condition of the unconsolidated snowpack. This wasn't concern for safety, however it made travel times unreasonable. They spent most of the day gaining the ridge, only 300m of altitude. |
