| Route Notes | BC 24/10 4900m C1 28/10 5400m (all members) C2 03/11 6100m (Wandai and Pantel) Smt 04/11 by Pantel, Pemba Sherpa at 7:30 am. Pleumeekers not fast enough and low oxygen saturation in blood. Decided to abandon climb on 03/11. Wandai and Pantel started from C2 for summit just before midnight. Wandai got snowblinded at around 7050m and needed to be assisted by Sherpa to get down. He developed frostbite in the process and was air lifted to Kathmandu by helicopter from 6300m on 04/11. Pantel and Pemba Sherpa reached summit at around 7:30 am and stayed a few minutes. Very cold and windy. Both back to BC the same day at 4:30 pm. Left BC on 05/11.
