Route Notes BC 14/09 at 4750m C1 17/09 at 5450m C2 25/09 at 6100m Smt 26/09 by Hug, Mingma Sherpa and Pasang Sherpa at 3 pm. Summit team and Willi and Chandra Sherpa left C2 at 2:30 am. Snow conditions were hard cover and soft ground. It took them a long time as the Sherpas were fixing the rope. At 6600m Willi and Chandra turned back as Willi was exhausted. It was about 11 am. They descended to C1. Summiteers spent about 15 minutes on the summit and descended to C2, where they arrived at about 7:30 pm. Jaggi and Brand reached C2 on 25/09. They both did not join the summit push, Jaggi as she had a temperature and Brand was having a headache. Both descended to BC on 26/09. Schwabl reached C1 on 24/09. He was suffering from a bad stomach and did not get far out of C1 when the others ascended to C2. He stayed another night at C1 and descended to BC on 26/09. Team left BC on 28/09 Oxygen: not taken, not used Fixed rope: ca. 1000m to summit
