Route Notes Updates and Leader: Paul Noble 9th November Congratulations again to Paul, Sam, Irene, Jorge, Lakpa, Dawa and Phurba who reached the summit of Himlung Himal. The full team are now trekking out and are at Koto. 5th November Summit Success! Paul has phoned in to say that they have reached the summit of Himlung Himal. Shamin and Nigel turned back as it was an extremely cold night. 1st November Paul has been in touch to let us know that the group have completed their acclimatisation programme and are looking at the moment for a likely summit on Saturday. 24th October Paul has phoned in to say that the group are now at Base Camp and have thoroughly enjoyed their stunning trek in. Today they have had the puja which is the blessing for the team, sherpas and all their kit and tomorrow they will head for camp 1. 20th October No landslides were present this year so the team were able to drive as far as Koto. All the equipment was re-packed and checked ready for the start of their 4 day trek to base camp, through the Gates of Phu (pronounced Pooh!), taking the group through some amazing mountainous scenery, which is very different to the other trekking areas in Nepal.
