Route Notes The team had just one attempt left on the mountain by its schedule, so, with relatively inexperienced members, the weather being too windy for the summit and at C3, the leader decided to cancel the expedition. Gunduz didn't climb at all, leaving the expedition for sickness from Chyamche (during the approach march). Kogak didn't climb above BC as he was sick and stayed at BC. Sproul almost reached C2 at 6000m, then went back the same day (on 26 Oct) to C1, then the day after to BC, with Bermek, Emir and Kavlak. Bermak, Emir and Kavlak reached C2 at 6120m, then went back to C1 the day after then the day after to BC. As the team decided to abandon and left BC on the 30 October. Guntis Brands decided however to wait a bit more time for a new attempt with Karna Bahadur Tamang. On the 29th October he and Karna Bahadur went from BC to C2 sleeping there. After the duo reached C3, on the 31 October the duo came to summit at 2 pm in strong wind conditions about 80 kms per hour. Then went back the evening at C3 for sleeping. On the 1 November, the duo went back to BC and left it on the 3 November to reach Kathmandu two days later. Guntis Brand will leave Kathmandu on 9 November. Sherpas: Dawa Sherpa (sirdar), 16/6/69, Tamakhani, Loding, Solukhumbu (didn't climb) Kaila Tamang, 31/7/72, Thulo, Parsel-9, Kavre Karna Bahadur Tamang, 6/5/84, Tapting-7, Solukhumbu Sange Sherpa, 20/9/73, Sotang-6, Solukhumbu Kaila Tamang and Sange Sherpa reached C2 at high point with Tunc Findik main group; Karna Tamang reached summit with Guntis Brand after the group.
