Route Notes BC 22 Sep 4800m C1 24 Sep 5675m HPt 29 Sep 5800m by Boslooper, Mul, Van der Hoff, Vlemmix and Withagan at 10 am. Boslooper and Vlemmix were about 10 metres ahead of the other three members of the team. They were standing next to a big crevasse when an avalanche hit at 10:15 am. Boslooper first filmed it, but when he noticed that it was coming towards him, he crouched down in the snow. They both got covered in the snow and Vlemmix ended up underneath Boslooper, but his face was free of snow and he could breathe. Boslooper took about 10 minutes to get out of the snow and then dug out Vlemmix. Lok Bahadur of the Adventure Consultants team was near them and got swept down the slope, but was unharmed apart from having lost his boots. Boslooper ascended for about 50 metres to where the Adventure Consultant's (Mark Morrison) team was and realized that Kaji was gone. Morrison started digging and found Kaji's dead body. Boslooper took his clients down to BC, while Morrison stayed up there to try and get the bodies down. Boslooper's team arrived at BC at 3 pm. The following day the AC team left by heliopter and Boslooper and his team stayed for another few days. Two members left BC on 2 Oct. On 2 Oct Boslooper went back up to C1 to help bring the bodies [Kaji + two AC Sherpas] down and he and the other two members left BC on 4 Oct. Sherpas: Kaji Sherpa, Okhaldhunga, Khijiphalate, 2027/9/5
