Route Notes BC northeast of Phugaon on northside of Pangri Glacier C1 west of bottom of ridge C2 west of bottom of ridge C3 on West Ridge. Dutch and Belgium team, led by Antonius van Bakel - 23 October 2008 Soon after arriving at BC, in order to have a good look at the West Ridge leading to the summit, van Bakel and Verheye climbed onto a ridge south of BC to 5300m. It was impossible to see the summit from BC or from anywhere along the ridge below C3. The summit party of both members and Pemba Sherpa left C3 for the top on 14 October at 4:00 am. As they left the camp, the temperature outside their tent was minus 20 degrees Celsius. They were climbing in the shadow of the mountain until 10:30 am. The sky was clear with an almost full moon and bright stars as they set out, but the weather was cold and windy. They arrived at the summit at 11:30 am and left it at 12:07. They returned to C3 at 4:30 pm and slept there that night. They were back in BC at 1:00 pm the next day. Hired: Pemba Tamang, 31/5/73, Taksindu, Solu, Manaslu 20/5/06
