Route Notes Fivet, Tassin, Herman, Degrave, Temba and Khule left C2 at 4 am on 12 Oct. Weather was clear but windy. At 6700m Fivet, Tassin, Degrave and Khule decided to turn back as the snow conditions were bad (frozen crust) and it was getting too late (it was 2 pm). They descended to C2, arrived at 6:30 pm. Herman and Temba carried on as they were feeling strong. When they reached the high point, they turned back as it was too late and it was very windy. They arrived at C2 at 8 pm. At 2 am on 13 Oct Degrave showed signs of HAPE, so Tassin, Herman, Degrave and Temba started descending to BC at 4 am. They arrived at BC at 11 am. Degrave felt better there. Fivet and Khul Bahadur packed up C2 on 13 Oct and descended to BC, where they arrived at 4 pm. Aerts reached C1 on 8 Oct. He did not carry on due to intestinal infection. He was evacuated from BC on 15 Oct. He was admitted to Norvic Clinic and stayed there for 7 days. Genders reached C1 on 8 Oct. He abandoned climb due to sleepless night and heart problems. He left BC on 12 Oct. Simonet reached C2 on 10 Oct but did not stay the night. As his goal was to reach C2 only, even though he was well. He left BC 13 Oct. Meyer reached C1 on 8 Oct. He did not carry on with expedition due to various illnesses (sinusitis, eye problems, random heart rate). He left BC on 12 Oct. He stayed 2 nights in Phu but his heart problems did not get better there. Once he arrived in Meta he was Ok.
