Route Notes BC 07/10 4800m ABC 09/10 5400m (one night) C1 10/10 5900m HPt 11/10 6100m (just above C1). Spent 1 night C1 again on 12 Oct, then back to BC at 2 pm on 13 Oct. Climb abandoned on 13 Oct due to not enough rope + eventual bad weather. Route: W Ridge (Carlsberg Ridge) Details of the climb (as told by trek guide who was waiting at BC): Left guide/porters at BC. 4 went alone, alpine attempt. Saw a massive vertical wall that looked very challenging. Not enough rope. They said: It's better to save our lives than to attempt this. Then weather turned bad anyway. They stayed at BC 14 Oct for an extra rest day. 15 Oct back by walking to Koto. By 16 Oct heavy snowfall in Manang.
