Route Notes BC at 4800m on glacier ABC at bottom of steep section of glacier. Above ABC had avalanche problem and route making problem because of this; tried two difficult lines but found both exposed to avalanching problems. Above ABC was icefall and then 100m rock face. Everyday avalanching down those faces. Fixed rope one day, avalanche broke it quickly on route they climbed highest on. Sherpas did no route making, went only once above ABC. Was very cold: perhaps -15 degrees. Route used went up South Face beneath Col between Gurkarpo Ri. Intended route up face to Col and then SE Ridge of Gurkarpo Ri.
