Route Notes Team was still trekking through the very remote areas in Humla when the earthquake happened. They did not feel it and continued trekking to Nepka village. When on 1 May one of the members made a phone call to his wife, they found out that a devastating earthquake had hit Nepal. They immediately decided to turn back and abandoned their trip.
