| Route Notes | All team members climbed above ABC to 4300m when they encountered icefall route difficulties. Steve Furman: "Even though it is not the highest peak in the range, Peak 6198 is the gem of the Gorakh Himal. Once through the ice-fall, a high camp can be set on the upper, heavily crevassed slopes, which lead to summit face. The summit face can be climbed via a steep, NE fluted snow and rock face, or an easier SE ridge." "I have cancer and did not feel I had the physical strength to safely ascend and descend the peak." |
