Route Notes BC at 5100m Pangpema ABC at 5340m bottom of steep part of N-S glacier on west side at end of West Ridge. xxx at 6750m at 50m below West Ridge from its South Face. Fixed rope on (all of South Face of West Ridge): 1200m and stopped climbing at 6750m because that was end of steep face and thought could put C2 on West Ridge 50m above, this high point, on next day, so back to C1. But on 21st very strong wind and falling rocks; stopped a day in C1 and still very strong wind, so on 22nd back to BC. Then snowed from 22nd night till 25th-26th. Tried to go to C1, but too much snow and serious avalanche danger so decided climb finished. Maoist at Sedua Rs 2500 per member, no charge for Nepalese staff. On way back, at Sedua found body of soldier left from Army-Maoist fight that had recently occurred.
