Route Notes BC same as Korean winter 1985 (west of South Ridge btw A & L of Rolwaling on map) C2 on SW Face Biv on SW Face High point on SW Face. Wanted alpine-style above C2 and made one biv. Then had bad night from snowfall so 24th back to C1. More bad weather. Went up again only to retrive C2 equipment. Snow up to waist height. Must return to jobs at home on 13th Oct. Wanted to finish climb of autumn 1981 Spanish team via same route. Had many problems with police in restricted area; Gaurishankar really closed to foreigners.
