Route Notes BC on glacier, northeast of mountain ABC at East Spur C1 on subsidiary ridge C2 near North Ridge. 5-25 Oct sitting in BC or trying to break trail and stashing caches of gear (one of which was lost). Night of 28th tent blew apart and destroyed by fierce winds. 7:00 am 29th descended, found ABC tent also ruined. Spirig camped between ABC and BC at one of caches while Allan and Teare went to BC. Now winds very strong. No real technical difficulties. Never tried N Face as planned because of avalanching. Woolums very ill and never reached BC, left expedition 3rd or 4th Oct. Teare developing altitude sickness at C2.
