Route Notes BC west of mountain C1 at north rocky ridge just above glacier C2 on glacier plateau of South Face. Most climbers had only 3 weeks for trip. Baumann, Jezler and others arrived 16th and went to C1 on 17th to acclimatize, back to BC 18th, but then it started to snow for several days and necessary to wait for snow to consolidate. Sherpas tried to go to C2 to bring down gear but snow too deep. Main team had to abandon hopes for top on 21st.
