Route Notes This mountain previously known as Ganesh II until re-surveyed in early 1990's. C3 was on E Ridge of Ganesh IV/W Ridge of Ganesh III. Immediately above was very sharp ridge with many big cornices, had to frontpoint while traversing this difficult section. Beyond that very dangerous rock and this problem combined with strong wind on 9th and 10th May defeated summit bid by 2 members who were still 2 km from their summit at their highest point. No technical problems beyond but summit too far away. In their descent they were exhausted but no support because support team had accident (Sherpa broke leg) and they jettisoned everything including food and tent for Choi and Park Chung-Sang in their effort to get Sherpa down. Took Choi and Park 4 days to BC with no food, no C2, no support. Lee Tae-Yul's shoulder injured when serac avalanche broke tents and struck him, putting him out of action; Kim Chul-Han's arm injured by falling ice block and he also out of action; Ang Tshering's leg broken. Park Chung-Sang slightly hurt leg in 10 m fall but kept climbing although Choi now led their climb. 9th April to 14 May only 4 clear days, all others cloudy (could not see route) and much snow.
