| Route Notes | BC at Annapurna Sanctuary southeast of Fang ABC at hillside before East Face C1 on icefall on East Face C2 in new icefall area High point at C2. 16-18th Sept much snowfall and many snow avalanches and icefall around C2 "broken" (members in ABC and C1 these 3 days). Fixed rope and equipment between C1 and C2 buried by snow and could not be found. Think avalanche at night carried away C2. 20th Sept 2 members tried to return to C2 but big new crevasse opened on the way and could not reach site. Had fixed 2600m rope and 1000m of this now gone; ice screws and carabiners lost. E Face difficult steep rock. Could have climbed it with more fixed rope. |
