Route Notes C1 at North Col C2 on North Face just to west of North Ridge High point below North Ridge at start of steep part. First reached C2 site on 28 Aug but rain and snow stopped all progress on mountain. 2 members and 2 Sherpas made attempt from C2 with Troillet night of 26 Sept and reached 8200m 11:00 pm NST on 26th itself. Porters didn't want to go higher because very windy and cold and dangerous without rope at night; returned to C2 1:30 am 27th. This last time attempted to climb up because now wind started getting stronger and sponsor suggested another time to go to Everest rather than waiting for days or weeks (forecast was 2 weeks) and leader felt team would not have the energy for later attempt this autumn. Maybe will come to Everest next year perhaps from Nepalese side.
