Route Notes Made ABC on 18 April but stomach trouble sent Patscheider back to Kathmandu, where he arrived 20 April. He flew to Lhasa on 26 April and returned to BC 29 April and to ABC on 3 May. Reached North Col on 7 May and on 8 May only to 7100m, where turned back and abandoned climb because stomach trouble continued. He climbed alone much of the time, sometimes with Australians from team led by Pawlowski, whose permit Patscheider was on. W Studer - 26 May 97 On 8 May, Studer and his wife climbed with Patscheider to 7100m. Not clear what his medical problem was: stomach trouble and headaches - did not use oxygen. Henry Todd - 8 June 97 Patscheider was on Todd's permit for Lhotse. He intended to traverse Everest from north to south via South Col and Lhotse West Face. Todd, as agreed between him and Patscheider left tent, sleeping bag mat, stove, fuel, food for him at South Col.
