| Route Notes | C1 in Western Cwm C3 on Lhotse face C4 at South Col High point at face above South Col. 28 May made summit attempt (only people to do so that day - last people on Col that afternoon); really not summit attempt since not expecting to go to top now: Sherpas wanted to go down since it was very late in May, there were no fixed ropes immediately above col, weather forecast was for reduced winds on 28th and didn't want to go up in crowd of 25th May, where winds were forecast to be a bit strong. On 28th really going up to see how high they could reach. Slept that night at C2 after turning back about noon at about 8200m. Happy to have reached such high altitude and had wonderful view. |
| Accidents | Tina lips frostbitten; cook almost died of altitude sickness but later returned to BC |
