Route Notes C1 just below top of Icefall C2 in Western Cwm C3 on Lhotse Face C4 at South Col High point at South Col. 10th May five members and five Sherpas arrived at Col between 7:00 am and 8:00 pm, very wind and snowing vertically. Pfetzer and Ratcliffe plus the 5 Sherpas descended to C2 on 11th while other 3 stayed another night, even stronger winds and then down on 12th. Same climbers went up to C3 on hope of trying for top, but Todd took cautious stand of not risking lives in continuing bad weather.
