Route Notes C1 at North Col C2 on North Ridge C3 on North Face close to North Ridge. 9th Oct summit attack by Kwon and Mingma Tamang from C3 reached 8750m and stopped below 2nd Step because ran out of rope to fix and strong wind and down to ABC in 20 hours total ascent and descend that day. This last attempt; 1st two failed because of wind and avalanche: 1st try 21st Sept to 8500m and 2nd 26th Sept, 8500m also; too windy to pitch C3 because too strong wind so only bivouac. Now after 3rd attempt all members very tired from load carrying and summit attempts. Did not try Great Couloir because deep snow & avalanching.
