Route Notes 18th Aug reached 7300m and there too much snow and avalanche danger and back to N Col. 26 Aug to N Col, 27th reached 7500m and very dangerous. 30 Aug to Col, 31st wanted to try again to go higher but much snowfall and down (Breashears was with Swiss and down too). Fixed rope 50m before N Col. No two days of good weather; clear mornings but snowfall in afternoon. Expedition's leader arrived in KTM 28th July & left for border 30th July.
