| Route Notes | Did not try Great Couloir because too little snow. 1st team to arrived at BC with Japanese (22 March), so this team fixed ropes to N Col, so slow progress to Col. Bianchi & Kuntner climbed together, 3 Poles climbed with Pawlowski of Todd Exped. Someone took depot of gear at 7600m which was to be C2 (food, gas, maybe sleeping bags). Were only team not to have Sherpas so perhaps other's Sherpas took it), so no C2 for Poles. Pustelnik to ABC same night (10 pm) & Pawlowski at 7800m 12th & ABC 13th says Pustelnik. |
