Route Notes 4 climbing members reached only 7900m on 23 Sept. Only Sherpas went higher fixing rope to 8300m. Sports Activities : The Camp Base was installed at 5200m on the 4th of September. The 13th of September the ABC was installed. C1 was installed at 7050m at the north Col, on 17th of Sept. The C2 was installed on the 23rd of Sept at 7800m on the North NE Ridge. On the next days fixed ropes was fixed on the ridge onto 8300m. Been impossible to install C3 due to the strong wind at this altitude, the expedition was forced down to ABC. Due to changing weather conditions (windy and stormy) and that the autumn came before its time, the members [saw it ]was impossible to press higher than 7400m, then the expedition made the decision to retire from the mountain. The 4th of Oct with a little change in the weather conditions, 4 members of the team and sirdar Dorje Sherpa, climbed the Lhakpa Peak (7045m) located northeast of Everest. The 10th of Oct, the team left the ABC and the 15th the team left the BC, arriving in Kathmandu on the 18th of October. Scientific Activities: During the expedition, the team had collected (picked up), geological samples, Botanic samples and Water samples (from the different Glacier Rivers) for its study and analysis in differents institutes of the CSICC.
