Route Notes BC at road C1 at glacier on east side of North Col C2 at North Col C3 on North Face C3 in Great Couloir. Up from C3 on 14 May midnight to 16:00 am NST Rockenbauer and two Rohrmosers and from C2 Kowalzik (10:00 pm NST 13 May) for summit bid. W Rohrmoser turned back at 8050m because too cold; T. Rohrmoser at 8350m 4:00 am because toes frostbitten (will go to hospital in Austria). Kowalzik at same point at 5:30 am because of stomach problems. Rockenbauer at 8430m 8:30 am because he had come to section he could not climb alone without fixed rope. All down to ABC. Climb now finished: no time left because flight have from Kathmandu fixed for 22 May.
